During the professional pedagogical education it is very important to promote the development of future teachers’ reflexive skills. In the following article we determined the role of teacher’s reflection and described the means and methods to develop this capacity. This helps to alert the teacher’s professional deformation, psychological problems in the communication, to promote the growth of teacher’s identity and the formation of the positive self-concept. The conditions that facilitate the formation of students’ reflective abilities in the process of their professional education are characterized. They are the development of future teachers’ motivational sphere; mastering the techniques which help to control their own emotional state during the professional activities; the development of communicative and organizational skills; the increase of students’ readiness for innovations and creativity; future teachers’ awareness of professional tasks, individual mental qualities; the formation of students’ positive self - concept; providing opportunities for students’ self-expression in the communication. One of the most effective means to form the capacity of future teachers’ reflection is professional psychological training, as it helps to implement the following tasks: the formation of the internal motivation for the professional self improvement, overcoming some difficulties in the process of the communicative interaction with pupils; the self-acceptance of future teachers. Some exercises which help to develop teacher’s communicative and organizational skills, analytical skills, culture and outlook, empathic listening, perception of verbal and non-verbal signals, positive self-concept are offered in the article.
