FEATURES OF THE STUDENT YOUTH’S EDUCATION IN THE LEADING COUNTRIES

Abstract


The article characterizes purposes and analyzes main tasks of the student youth’s education in the higher school of the USA, China, Israel, Great Britain, Japan and France. Leading directions of the youth’s education are characterized. They are civil, international, multicultural, religious, moral, physical. Their content, basic forms and methods of the organization are revealed. Concerning the explanation of educational purposes, it should be noted, that their character is narrower in comparison with the proven over the years idea of the all-round development of the individual, which includes a wider range of educational directions. For example, considering the current demands of the society’s development, priority directions of education are defined. They are civil, economic, legal, environmental, sexual and some others. And the preparation of young people to having an active position in the public life of the society, the development of the critical thinking are even more narrow tasks of the civil and intellectual education. It is emphasized that in most countries (China, the USA, Japan, France) the purpose of education gets its concretization during the solving of such educational problems: the education of the mentally stable person, prepared for life in the multicultural and multinational environment; the formation of the citizen, who is actively involved in the democratization of the society; the education of the man, able to live in harmony with nature.
